Not every radical looking ride that graced the show floor of major auto shows are destined to be concept. the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Sports Coupe is one good example that a concept with an exotic flair could roll off the production line one day and that one day will be within this year. though how much it will rob you off, remains unknown. the 4C sports coupe is a derivative of the concept that made its global debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show and had since garnered quite a handful of accolades and the final version will be making its debut at the 83rd International Motor Show in Geneva (aka the Geneva Auto Show), happening from the March 7-17, 2013. the name 4C is a direct lineage to the marque’s great sporting tradition as used in the 8C and 6C in the 30s and 40s. for an yet to be announced pricing, expect to greeted with a mid-engined, rear-wheel driven sports coupe with technologies and materials derived from super sports cars and a new 4-cylinder 1750 Turbo Petrol all-aluminum engine with direct injection, mated to a sophisticated Alfa TCT twin dry clutch transmission with Alfa DNA (acronym for Dynamic, Natural and All Weather) selector. however, do not expect a huge coupe of the 4C. in fact, it is the opposite: this two-seater sports coupe is of a compact built of under 4 meters long, 2 meters wide, 1.18 meters high and a wheelbase of not more than 2.4 meters. so it sounds more like a Mazda-ish size to us. nothing was put forward in terms of performance but since the same 1.75-liter turbo four engine is also used in the current Giulietta, a yield of 232 horses should be a hint of the 4C prowess. the D-Day for more information is still weeks to go, in the meantime, learn more about the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Sports Coupe HERE.
