Tired of the current flood of Qualcomm-equipped smartphone? then good news for you. Acer has formerly announced an Android smartphone that has your favorite Intel Inside. exist as the Acer Liquid C1 Smartphone with Intel Inside, it is driven by Intel Lexington-based Intel Atom processor Z2420 running at 1.2GHz with Hyper Threading and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. the said Hyper Threading is said to aid in offering better experience for data connectivity, and supporting up to 21 Mbps data download over HSPA+ with its Intel XMM 6265 slim modem with quad-band capability. other features include a 4.3-inch IPS qHD (960 x 540 pixels) touchscreen display, a 8.0-megapixel autofocus main shooter with LED flash, a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 4GB of onboard storage, microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB, a 2,000 mAh battery, plus the garden variety of connectivity and sensors, including WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, GPS – just to name a few. apart of the Intel processor, there is nothing out of the ordinary here. neither will the C1 claim any title for slimmest, lightest or whatsoever and as far as design goes, it is not extraordinary but rather pleasing. the Acer Liquid C1 Smartphone is offered in black and white models, and carries a retail price of 9,990 THB (That Baht) or around US$335. we got to assume that is without the two-year customer agreement. we were quite surprised that the launch of this Intel-powered smartphone for Asia Pacific region seems somewhat ‘mild’ and lacks of the oomph, or was it because we were too accustomed to seeing yet another Android phone?
