If you perceive Air Hogs as a kid’s toy, then there’s a good chance that the new Air Hogs Elite Helix X4 Radio Control Quadcopter might change your perception. make no mistake here. the Elite Helix X4 is not an infrared-control two (or three, at best) channel flying toy that your five-year old nephew runs around with. this quad ducted fans-equipped flying machine is a full-fledge radio control toy with full four channels of control and uses interference-free 2.4GHz radio link for a harmless fun-filled flight. it features integrated gyro stabilization and an incredibly crash-resistant materials, protecting the rotors in the event of, God forbids, crash. it offers two distinct control modes: a beginner mode that allows for a more stabilized flight for novice pilot to easily learn the basics of flying, while advanced pilots can work to master the flight. apart from being novice-friendly, the Air Hogs Elite Helix X4 Radio Control Quadcopter is quite a looker too. the look department might be subjective but one thing for sure is that the X4 does not look all too toy-like (it is still a toy but one for the grown ups and not-so grown ups). the Elite Helix X4 was featured in the recent 2013 American International Toy Fair in NY but as you all know, we were not fortunate enough to be there ourselves but nevertheless, we would definitely grab one as soon as they are available – even if it means at our own expenses – and have a go with it ourselves. the Air Hogs Elite Helix X4 Radio Control Quadcopter is set to hit the stores later this year for $89.99 a pop.
